Today, Opus has operations in 21 US states and Washington DC. Opus manages over 32 million annual inspections between our centralized and decentralized programs. An additional 34 million annual inspections are conducted on Opus equipment in our open-market programs with an additional 16 million-plus annual inspections operating on our stand-alone vehicle-information-database platforms. We employ more than 1 200 people in our US vehicle-inspection programs, including more than 50 engineers and support staff in our technology development center in Tucson, Arizona.
The Opus manufacturing and logistics center in East Granby is highly scalable. We manufacture and deliver vehicle-inspection analyzers, from hundreds to nearly 10 000 per contract, to fulfill requirements from our state program customers.
We manufacture and sell automotive-diagnostic tools that are used in more than 50 000 workshops around the world. Along with the tools, Opus provides services to help independent automotive shops repair the most complex vehicles with diagnostics, programming, and live call-center repair guidance from more than 100 Opus master technicians.
