The story of Sensys Gatso and the history of traffic enforcement are one and the same. Gatso was founded in 1958 by the former racing driver Maurice Gatsonides, a racing champion and entrepreneur. Gatso introduced the world’s first speed-measurement device in 1958. It merged with Sensys, the supplier to the Swedish transport administration in 2015. Swedish Sensys was the technology provider right at the start of the world-famous Swedish Vision Zero initiative, now copied by many countries and cities.
With more than 50 000 systems installed in over 70 countries, Sensys Gatso is now the leading provider of traffic-safety-solutions delivering systems, software, and services primarily for automated traffic enforcement globally.
